1841 Rotherfield Census
Rotherfield Enumeration District 10
From Henry Pains to Maynards Gate then by the stream to Johnsons Bridge, from thence taking the road to the gate at the bottom of Hornhurst Wood about 8 roods above Cowford Bridge, leaving out the house on the road called Turks, then along the road through the Village of Rotherfield to Gravel Hill taking all on the West of the main road, then by Walter's Brick Kiln and Water Hill to Henry Pains.
