Part of the Civil Parish of Hailsham being a circle of one mile in diameter, the Market Square being the centre, being the District upon which are levied the Rates for the Public Lights including the Parish Church & Vicarage, the Town of Hailsham, the Petty Sessions House, Railway Station, Cattle Market & Recreation Ground, Bellbans & Millwalk, the boundary of the Circle being Grinsteds Cottage on the North west, Goldsmith Farm House & Cottage on the North, Millwalk Cottages on the East, Pond House on the South, Prices & Sinnocks Houses on the South West, and Diplocks Farm on the West.
