Part of the Civil Parish of Hailsham lying South of the road from the Spy Marshes by Downash to Hailsham Common, thence following the South boundary of the Circle to West side, thence South of the footpath leading to Knockhatch to western boundary of Parish including Cacklebury, Sandbanks, Ersham, Downash, Peel Cottage, Sayerland, Otham Court and the town Railway Station and Church of Polegate, part of the Corporation of Pevensey is comprised in this District, also part of the Ecclesiastical Parish of St John's Polegate.
