	He married Hannah Russell on 19^th May 1807 at St. Michael & All Angels Church, Little Horsted, Sussex. She was born 1782 at Chiddingly, Sussex. They had the following children:

	2. Philadelphia Hayward [Akehurst] was the daughter of Stephen Ackhurst, farm fabourer and Hannah Akehurst [Russell]. She was born 20^th Feb 1809 at Waldron, Sussex; christened 8^th Apr 1809 at Heathfield Chapel, Heathfield, Sussex; buried 15^th Jul 1857 at All Saints Church, Herstmonceux, Sussex, aged 50 years
	She married Samuel Hayward on 20^th Nov 1843 at All Saints, Lewes, Sussex, witnesses John & Jane Hayward. He was born 9^th Mar 1807 at Herstmonceux, Sussex; christened 31^st Mar 1807 at Heathfield Chapel, Heathfield, Sussex. They had the following children:
