He was born 1836 at Framfield, Sussex; christened 26^th May 1836 at St. Thomas à Becket's Church, Framfield, Sussex, son of Henry Stapley (butcher) & Maria Stapley; died Jan 1863 at Uckfield, Sussex, aged 26 years; buried 9^th Jan 1863 at St. Mary, Eastbourne, Sussex. They had the following children:
