	1. Sir George Smith, 1st Baronet of Stoke was the son of Abel Smith, of East Stoke and Jane Smith [Beaumont]. He was born 1714 at Nottinghamshire; christened 12^th Feb 1714 at St. Peter's Church, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire; died 5^th Sep 1769
	i	Howe who was born 1744
	He married (1) Mary Howe on 18^th Aug 1747 at Langar cum Barnston, Nottinghamshire. She was born 3^rd Nov 1725, daughter of Major William Howe of Beckenham, Lincolshire and Elizabeth Pauncefote; died 18^th May 1761, aged 35 years. They had the following children:
	i	Mary who was born 1751
2	ii	Sir George who was born 18^th Aug 1753; died 17^th Aug 1808, aged 54 years
	iii	Jane who was born 1760
	He married (2) Catherine Vyse on 23^rd Feb 1768. She was born c 1745, daughter of Rev. William Vyse, canon of Lichfield and Catherine Smallbrook; died 21^st Feb 1786

	2. Sir George Smith, 2nd Baronet of Stoke was the son of Sir George Smith, 1st Baronet of Stoke and Mary Smith [Howe]. He was born 18^th Aug 1753; died 17^th Aug 1808, aged 54 years
	He married Hon. Esther Curzon on 8^th Jan 1778 at Rugeley, Staffordshire. She was born 24^th Dec 1758, daughter of Assheton Curzon, Viscount Penn and Esther Hanmer; died 7^th Nov 1839 at Stoke Park, East Stoke, Nottinghamshire
