1871 Frant Census
Reference RG10/1049: Ticehurst Enumeration District No 9
All that remaining part of the Parish of Frant which is situate in the County of Kent and known as Hawkenbury comprising that part of the parish situate on the North side of the stream running from Palmer's Bridge through Wortleberry Farm to Watermans Strawberry Gardens taking in Watermans Cottage and Youngs Cottage on the railway tunnell. From there to the spring head on the Home Farm following the stream to the boundary of the parish in Mount Nevill Lane.
