The will of Thomas Grombridge of Speldhurst

date: 22nd day of April 1620

testator: Thomas Grombrige of Speldhurst wife : Abia

executrix: Abia his wife

He leaves " my house and tenement wherein I now dwell called Holtye containing … lying in Speldhurst during her life and to the bringing up of my children and after her decease I do … the said tenement unto Elizabeth my oldest daughter and her heirs and assigns forever. And Elizabeth shall pay unto Hester my youngest daughter out of the said tenement and lands the sum of ten pounds of lawful money …"
