In 1693 there was a Case in Chancery brought by Anthony against Thomas Maynard, PRO ref: C9/140/9 The papers recite that, prior to 1692, Anthony leased from Thomas Maynard land amounting to 60 acres in the parish of Withyham, which Thomas Mayhard wished to re-possess.
In return for Anthony quitting the land, Thomas Maynard helped him to negotiate a Lease of an alternative farm in Rotherfield from Mr. John Plummer, gentleman of Ringmer.
The trouble arose from a Bond which Anthony was alleged to have given, securing a small piece of the new land to Thomas Maynard for his own use. The new holding was defined as bounding to the land of Thomas Maynard towards the west, to the lands of The Rt Hon Lord Abergavenny to the south, to lands of Adam Farmer to the north, and land in the tenure of Jhn Thompson to the east. This has enabled the land to be identified as in the area marked on current maps as Danegate.

Will of Anthony Killick dated 26 March 1736, proved 19 July 1737, proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Lewes, East Sussex. Described as Husbandman of Rotherfield.
He appointed his grandson Thomas to be executor. The beneficiaries to be grfandsons Ralph, Anthony and Thomas, and wife Anne.
