This is the last Will and testament of me Robert FRY of Domans Land in the parish of Lingfield in the County of Surrey yeoman I direct all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Martha FOX the wife of Thomas FOX farmer All the household Goods Furniture Plate Linen China and wearing apparel of every description that shall be in or about my Dwelling house and belonging to me at the time of my decease to and for her own use and benefit also I give and bequeath unto my Son Richard FRY the sum of Five pounds and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind and quality the same may be I give and bequeath to the same and every part thereof unto my Son in Law William CHART of Hartfield in the County of Sussex Shopkeeper and George CHAPMAN of Domans Land aforesaid Draper their executors admors and assigns Upon the trusts and to and for the intents and purposes hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) Upon Trust that they the said William CHART and George CHAPMAN and the Survivor of them and the executors admors and assigns of such survivor of them do and shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease stand possessed of such residue for the use and benefit of and pay over the same to the several persons next hereinafter mentioned in the shares and proportions and in the manner following (that is to say) As to one seventh part or share thereof the whole into seven equal parts to be divided In trust for my Daughter Sarah the Wife of _____ SEAIL of Woolwich Arsenal in the County of Kent her Exors admors and assigns As to one other seventh part or share thereof In trust for and to be retained by my son in Law the said William CHART as to one other seventh part or share thereof In trust for my Daughter Philadelphia the wife of Joseph MILLS of Withyham in the said County of Sussex her executors admors and assigns As to one other seventh part or share thereof In trust for my Daughter the said Martha FOX her exors admors and assigns As to one other seventh part or share thereof In trust for my Son Elias FRY of Tonbridge Wells in the County of Kent Carpenter his Exors admors and assigns As to one other seventh part or share thereof In trust for my Son Thomas FRY of Tonbridge Wells aforesaid Turner and as to the remaining seventh part or share thereof In trust for my Daughter Mary HUGHES her exors admors and assigns and I do hereby declare that the receipt or receipts alone of my Daughters the said Sarah SEAIL Philadelphia MILLS Martha FOX and Mary HUGHES notwithstanding their present or any future coverture shall be a sufficient release and discharge to them my said trustees for such sum or sums of money as they my said Daughters shall respectively receive under or by virtue of this my Will and my Will is and I do hereby expressly declare that such of the legatee or Legatees aforesaid as may be indebted to me in any sum or sums of money at the time of my decease either upon bond note or otherwise shall not be considered as exonerated or released therefrom but shall continue and remain liable to the payment of the same in such and the like manner as if I had died intestate provided always And I do hereby declare it to be my Will that the said William CHART and George CHAPMAN their respective exors and admors shall be charged and chargeable only for such monies as they respectively shall actually receive under or by virtue of the trusts hereby in them reposed notwithstanding his their or either of their giving or signing any receipt or receipts for the sale of conformity and that each of them shall only be chargeable and answerable for himself and his own acts And that they or either of them shall not be answerable or accountable for any bank banker or other person where or in whose hands all or any part of the said trust monies shall or may be deposited or for the insufficiency or deficiency of any friend or security in or upon which the said trust monies or any part thereof shall be placed out or invested nor for any other misfortune loss or damage which may happen in or about the execution of the aforesaid trusts or in relation thereto except the same shall happen by or through his or their own gross wilful default and that it shall and may be lawful to and for the said William CHART and George CHAPMAN and each of them to retain to and reimburse himself and themselves their respective exors and admors and to allow to his and their co trustee all costs charges damages and expenses which they respectively shall or may sustain expend or disburse in or disburse in or about the execution of the aforesaid trusts or in relation thereto and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint the said William CHART and George CHAPMAN Executors of this my Will and hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made I declare this this to be my last will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Robert FRY the testator have hereunto subscribed and set my hand and seal (that is to say) my hand to each of the two preceeding sheets and my hand and seal to this last sheet this nineteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen Robt FRY (LS) Signed sealed
