And the Tythes, tenths, oblations and obventions yearly … growing and renewing from all the above lands

And a messuage lands or tenement where Robert Wells deceased late dwelt and wherein now Samuel Pearson now so inhabits and dwells with barns, stables, stalls, wain, lodges, woodhouse, outhouses, edifices, buildings, closes, yards, gardens, orchards and meadow and pasture grounds 11 acres more or less in Tewdley in Kent and now in the tenure of occupation of Peter Pearson

And one piece/parcel of meadow land known as Bussmead containing circa 3 acres at or near Hartlake in the parishes of Tewdley and Hadlow or one or both of them in Kent and now also in the occupation of Peter Pearson
And a Barn with stable, stalls, Fatting lodge, outletts and appurtences plus an oasthouse and 10 several (previously 11) pieces or parcels of land arable meadow pasture belonging to barn and oasthouse = 45 acres
One small piece called Old Hopgarden = three quarters of an acre adjoining the orchard of the late Robert Weller esq deceased and now of George Weller esq his son and now or late in the occupation of Thomas Wells = a plot or parcel of land

And all of one annuity or yearly rent charge of 20 pounds issuing growing renewing and increasing out of the said last mentioned lands and premises in Tonbridge and Hadlow = 60 acres called now the Postern Lands and all that one other messuage tenement and dwelling house wherein the said Dan Gromebridge doth now inhabit and dwell with the stable hayhouse sider house woodlodge outhouses edifices and buildgins and the yards backsides and garden thereunto belonging and appurtances situate and lying on the West side in the Town of Tonbridge in Tonbridge half an acres of land and appurtances and also of and in all way paths passages waters water courses commons common of pastures rents easements emoluments

Comes into effect after the solemnization of marriage

The Will of Dan Gromebridge Gentleman of Tonbridge

executors: Philadelphia Gromebridge the testator's wife and his brother-in-law Thomas Baker

I Dan Gromebridge of Tonbridge in the County of Kent Gentleman being infirm and weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
First I give devise and bequeath unto my Brother John Gromebridge of Maidstone in the County of Kent aforesaid all such Sum and Sums of Money now due and owing from him to me whether on mortgages Bond Specialties or Simple Contract and all Interest that shall be due to me for them or either of them at the time of my Decease.
Also I give and devise unto my said Brother John Gromebridge and to his heirs and assigns All that my Mannor of Haysden with all the Rights and Royalties herediments and appurtenances thereunto belonging And also all that mannor House ffarm lands herediments and appurtenances situate at Haysden in Tonbridge aforesaid now in the tenure of Charles Hartrup or his undertenants To hold the same premises unto my said Brother John Gromebridge his heirs and assigns forever subject and under the proviso hereafter mentioned
Also I give and devise to my said Brother John Gromebridge all that my messuage or tenement buildings farm lands and appurtenances thereunto belonging now in the tenure or occupation of John Hollamby or his undertenants situate lying and being within several parishes of Tudely Capele and Hadlow or in some of them in the said county of Kent To hold the same premises last…… unto the said John Gromebridge his heirs and assigns forever subject and under the condition hereinafter mentioned
And whereas I have before my intermarriage with my dear wife Philadelphia settled and assured divers messuages ffarms and lands and herediments situate lying and being in Tonbridge Hadlow and Tudely aforesaid and for the Jointure of my said wife now do hereby Ratify and confirm the uses with said Settlement …… and after the Expiration and termination of the uses therein contained I give and devise the same premises and my Estate therein unto my said Brother John Gromebridge his heirs and assigns forever Provided always and I do hereby declare my will and mind to be that if my said wife Philadelphia shall be …… with child at the time of my decease and such child shall live that then and in such case I give and devise unto such child and the heirs of the Body of such child forever all that my mannor of Haysden mannor house and appurtenances and all and singular other the messuages ffarms lands herediments and appurtenances herein before by me given and devised unto my said brother John Gromebridge anything before contained to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding
Also I give and bequeath unto Thomas Landon all my Law papers Law Books precedents and manuscript Books to be delivered to him soon after my decease by my executors hereinafter named
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Thomas Landon all such sum and sums of money that he is now indebted to me by note of his hand And also my will and mind is and I do bequeath unto Thomas Landon one half part of all Book Debts and othere Debts that are now due and owing to me for Business deducting thereout one half part of the disbursements …… or relating to such Business
Also I give unto my Brother-in-Law Thomas Baker the sum of ten pounds
And all the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate good and chattels of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my Dear wife Philadelphia Gromebridge my Debts and Legacys being thereout first paid and satisfied
And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Philadelphia and Thomas Baker jointly executor and executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former …̷-; and wills by me heretofore made
In witness whereof I have to this ma last will and testament sett my hand and seal this twenty third Day of December one thousand seven hundred and ffifty six.

Dan Gromebridge signed and sealed and declared by the said Dan Gromebridge the Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have sett our hands as witness hereunto the several easements being first made
