Court Rolls of April 9th 1724 - "the Homage present Adam Farmer who held freely to him and his heirs by fealty etc. and yearly rent of tenpence a messuage called le Kings Arms with stables, garden and other appointments thereto belonging and formerly in tenure of Thomas Hoadley or his assigns, formerly surrendered the said premises to Andrew Jenkins of Rotherfield his heirs and assigns. There falls for relief 10d. Which said Andrew Jenkins has paid and he does fealty etc."
