JAMES COLE.
Possibly James Cole, glover had a son of this name. He may have been recorded in the Protestation Returns of 1641 and may have died with his wife Ann in 1649.
It is possible that JOSEPH COLE or COULES of Brasted (c1655-1731) was descended from James Cole. There is abundant information on him. He was a leading member of the local Baptist community and one of the founders of the Baptist chapel at Bessels Green, Chevening. He was a farmer and glover by trade.
