And also one little piece of land lying at the head of the said barn taken and divided from the said close containing by estimation half an acre and 8 perches of land more or less. And also several other pieces or parcels of land arable meadow and pasture by estimation 21 acres formerly in the occupation of Robert Mallion or his assigns and were situate lying and being in Rotherfield aforesaid and abutted and abounded to the Kings Highway leading from Adams to Crowboro' Common towards the West to the lands then formerly of Humphrey Fowle Esquire and then of Sir John Shelley towards the West to the woodlands there called the Sweet Hawes towards the North to the woodlands there called the Scrotts towards the East and adjoining to the Kings Highway leading from Redbridge to Adams towards the South together with and including a field called Adams" | |||||

In 1678 Richard Mose's Will leaves Bassetts otherwise Beadles to Anne Mose and Patience Mose who sell to William Coe of Rotherfield in December 1699. Charity Coe inherits the premises from her husband and remarries a James Lintoff. In June 1734 James and Charity Lintoff sell Bassetts otherwise Beadles but excluding the field called Adams to James Burges. | |||||
